We are Max and Bea, owners of Wine & Water. We have more than 30 years experience of hotel barging and know this region of France intimately.

We will be your hosts to ensure that you gain an exclusive insight into the pleasures of Burgundy and take home memories of a unique holiday that will last a lifetime.

Our most heartiest congratulations to you both on Wine and Water !

May she sail well and safe for many years . Perhaps, if we can afford it and our health holds, we’ll come and see. We Remember you and talk about you often and Max’s exceptional table !!! Everything of the best and plain sailing from South Africa ! September 2012

We offer a choice of two cruises in the heart of the French wine country, with durations of either four or six nights. Whichever you choose, you will be embarking on a voyage of discovery whilst every comfort is taken care of, down to the smallest detail.

I especially loved the main suite bathroom which was most attractively appointed with luxurious robes, towels and shampoo and gels, all most discretely replaced and changed daily.

Days are planned with a half-day of cruising and a half-day of excursions. Whilst voyaging through this ever-changing landscape, you can hop off for a spot of cycling or walk alongside the canal. Whilst moored, you can explore the many ruins, castles and other fascinating sites; enjoy some morning golf with three excellent courses to play; or let your worries drift away in a hot air balloon. With private wine tasting in world famous cellars forming part of your cruise, you can gain an exceptional insight into the diversity of Burgundian wines.

If you love wine, you’ll enjoy the fact that Max has developed great relationships with many winemakers so you have access to very special wine tasting experiences in private tasting rooms…

Hi Bea and Max
I just wanted to write and thank you for an amazing experience on Wine & Water recently. It was the highlight of our trip to France and we had an amazing amazing time. Bea, your food and hosting was impeccable. Thank you! Max, thank you for your wine, the day trips and all the knowledge sharing you did. We felt like welcome guests in your home and appreciate the personal attention.
Also, Sebastian would like to thank you for everything you did to accommodate him specifically. We really appreciate it.
He promptly started crawling on Monday after we got back from France. Perfect timing I would say.
Thank you again, and we hope to see you again. This is a trip I definitely want to repeat again!
Love, Yolande, Christo and Sebastian.
